Mark Reeder is a trained
environmentalist who has worked at some of the worlds finest gardens including Kew Gardens, The Royal Horticultural Societies
Garden at Wisley and an 18th Century restored Palace Garden in Maryland, USA. Although his background is firmly
rooted in horticulture he also has a strong sense of contemporary design. He has a keen eye for the latest styles and likes
to treat a garden as an artform itself. But tradition and style are not the only elements that you might consider. Gaiam
was set up to allow the possibility of introducing a third element: gardens that have a mystical, magical, mysterious or even
playful qualities - as suited to the particular interests of the person. Furthermore, the company encourages an awareness
of ecological principles. By working with nature rather than against it, gardens can be more relaxed and also less time-consuming
to maintain.
